The Beauty of Slate tiles and Slabs Flooring for home improvement
There are many outdoor flooring options in the market today, but slate is one of those types of flooring that really distinguishes itself from the rest due to beauty, durability and its range of colors, shapes, texture and sizes. This is what makes slate tiles best elegant flooring alternative.

Slate Tile and Colour
Compared to other natural stone tiles, slate is very smooth because it is made up of clay, silt and sand bonded together under extreme high pressure and temperatures over millions of years. This intense bonding makes it difficult for liquid to penetrate slate. Different minerals in slate are what makes the beautiful color variations i.e. black, grey, golden, rustic etc.

Slate Tile Strength
Very intense harsh weather conditions over millions of years has made slate a God given gift for strong and durable flooring both for exterior and interior application. Their NON SLIP quality makes it the best flooring option for modern homes. Builders and floor installers enjoy laying slate tiles because they are naturally calibrated and easily lay flat on installation to the satisfaction of walking to the homeowner and guests alike. Slate tiles are excellent for swimming pools, walkways, parking lots, landscaping, driveways, fire places, columns, fencing walls, garden restaurants, individual outdoor, dining gardens and fencing wall applications as well as landscaping. Your building designer or contractor will be best placed to select best pattern from our arsenal suited for your particular construction project. Natural finish is most popular for those people who cherish natural stone application. Polished slate slabs are not recommended for outdoor applications as they do not only look un natural, but can be slippery as well like synthetic tiles. Use natural stone tiles and slabs in exactly the way God has created and buried them as unique portraits underground. No one slab or tile looks similar in pattern to another even from the same underground bed deposit, and this is why we should cherish nature by not spoiling the natural stone formation by polishing or painting with synthetic colours as much as practically possible.

No other natural stones have the dramatic texture and color of natural states.

The difference between tiles and slabs is the thickness depending on application. Whereas, tiles thickness are between 10mm and less than 20mm (Used for wall cladding) slabs have more than double this thickness (23mm to 30mm) used for outdoor flooring as they can withstand heavy vehicle loads of up to 15 tons. It naturally costs more to buy and transport slabs than tiles due to advantage of up to triple thickness compared to wall tiles. Customers should clearly note the difference between cheaper tiles and slabs.

Slate tiles and slabs are water resistant which make it perfect for exterior application. Our slate tiles and slabs come in black, grey, brown and combat rustic color.

Slate tiles have natural split surface which means it can be split along natural cleavage lines and does not require expensive processing machinery to saw or polish. Most owners prefer natural African slate tiles installed in their natural form, but only cut into size and patterns required. The size of natural slates materials differ slightly, naturally. We make every effort to grade slabs and tiles at the time of packing so as to conform to size and colour. Homeowners who want their slates slightly shiny can polish their tiles and slabs cut to size by locking the tiles on wooden frame, say 2 mtr x 2mtr with slate slightly protruding about 10mm above the wood squire and polish with a terrazzo machine to required finish. We recommend that for stones to look natural (NATURAL STONE LOOK) you should note disturb the natural beauty of the stone but rather engage an experienced stone tile setter who can level set the slabs flat without locking in any pot holes underneath. Grout and concrete mortar should be applied to adjust the natural stone size variations.
